Community Night 2014

For our 2014 Engineering Week, we will be hosting a Community Night
to invite Cache Valley to come see what we do in the College of Engineering!

Community Night 2014 will be held at 
6:00 PM on February 20, 2014.
in the 
Taggart Student Center (TSC). 

Parking will be available
for free in the Engineering/Fine Arts Parking Lot or for a small
fee in the Aggie Terrace, Big Blue Terrace, or the University Inn parking lot.

We will have several award-winning projects on display, including: The Spider-man Wall Climber, The Concrete Canoe, The Steel Bridge, The Rocket Team.

Also brand new this year is our Erosion Table: a 20-ft long, 4-ft wide sandbox with running water. Come learn about Civil and Environmental Engineering in this hands-on activity!


Activities Include:
  • Spider-Goats -- Goats that make spider silk in their milk.
  • LIDAR -- 3D Laser Vision.
  • UAV Lab -- Remote-controlled airplanes.
  • Harley-Davidson -- Motorcycles will be on display, thank you for your support.
  • Chimera Rockets -- Watch a Rocket Engine Test. -- Award Winning
  • Skateboard -- Remote-controlled Skateboard.
  • Quadcopters -- Remote-controlled quad-copters.
  • POV -- Hard drive display.
  • T-Shirts for sale!
  • Campbell Scientific -- Will have a booth, thank you for your support.
  • Sandia National Labs -- Will have a booth, thank you for your support.
  • Mini-Baja Buggie -- Racing Dune Buggie
  • Ascending Aggies -- Spider-man-like Wall Climber - Award Winning
  • Lunar Buggie -- Bike designed to get around on the moon.
  • Disabled Mechanic's Creeper -- A creeper designed to help mechanics stay mechanics.
  • Land Yacht -- A sailboat...on wheels? Yes. Yes it is.
